International shipping and its three modes

Shipping has a number of meanings and the applications of shipping are not restricted to the nations of the world only. Shipping is spread worldwide and this type of shipping is known as international shipping. International shipping is a simple process where goods and cargos are transported from one part of the world to the other. The act of International shipping is executed via three major mediums. These are air, water and sea.  Shipping is also defined as objects moved on ships. Land shipping is also known as ground shipping. Land shipping can be carried out by trucks or trains.

If we rank them according to their costs then air transportation wins the race, water transportation is the first runner up and sea transportation is the second runner up. In simple words, air is the costliest mode of International shipping followed by water and sea transportation or shipping. Land or ground transportation is required or used more frequently than the other two modes. The reason behind this is if we are transporting goods and cargos via land then surely we need the ground transportation and in addition to this, whenever we choose air and sea transportation for International shipping then also we need the help of the ground shipping because in air and sea shipment, land transportation is called for to shift the goods and products from their original destinations to the seaport or airport.
